HIMSS has opened the Call for Proposals for the 2027 HIMSS European Health Conference & Exhibition, taking place 8-10 June, 2027, in Barcelona. Healthcare professionals, clinicians, technology leaders, policymakers, researchers, patient representatives and digital health innovators are invited to submit proposals that bring practical experience and fresh perspectives to some of healthcare’s most pressing challenges.

The submission period runs from Oct. 15 through Dec. 15, 2026, with a particular focus on sessions grounded in real-world experience and measurable results.

For 2027, HIMSS is seeking proposals across three areas: intelligence, implementation and transformation.

Intelligence will explore the technologies, policies and infrastructure shaping digital health, including experiences with European Health Data Space (EHDS) implementation, healthcare infrastructure adaptation, cybersecurity and quantum computing.Implementation will focus on putting digital strategies into practice, with real-world examples of interoperability, integrations and AI pilots. Transformation will examine how AI and other technologies are reshaping care delivery and the patient and workforce experience.

Proposals should move beyond high-level discussion and offer practical insights, evidence and experiences that attendees can apply within their own organisations.

HIMSS27 Europe will bring healthcare leaders, clinicians, policymakers, innovators and technology partners from across Europe and around the world to Barcelona to exchange ideas, see innovation in action and explore practical strategies for advancing healthcare transformation.
